Heading out on a long-awaited girl’s night and want to look fab but you don’t have heaps of cash to splurge on a new outfit or beauty products? Not to worry, you don’t need to spend a lot to look good. I’ll fill you in on how you can create a fabulous new look without spending more than $50.
We’d all love to be able to afford to go to a professional to get our hair done every time we go out but that is just not realistic for the majority of us. If you’re not great at doing your own hair, ask a friend to help you – remember if you’re going to be curling your hair – it’s best to do it a day or two after washing it. You can also look on Youtube which has an abundance of videos which show you how to create a glamorous style at home.
Similar to having great hair, glowing skin will ensure you look radiant no matter what outfit you’re wearing. If you don’t already own a decent face cream, there are a number of great moisturizers which cost less than $10, such as Burt’s Bees, Jergen’s, and Olay. If your skin is glowing you can forgo heavy makeup which means simply dab on some lip gloss, blush, and a coat of mascara.
This is usually where us ladies get stuck. As we all know, we can have a closet full of clothes but still have “nothing to wear”. If you’re on a tight budget, why not get statement jewellery from bargain stores, and then pair it with one of your little black dresses (you know you have at least one in your closet). Adding a little bling will completely transform the outfit! If you’re dead against wearing something you’ve worn previously, then there is another affordable way to buy new clothes without breaking the bank. Quicksales is a shopping site that sell second hand clothes or unwanted gifts. It is a bargain basement for things like designer clothes which may have been worn once, or even brand new items which people simply don’t want anymore. For example, this morning I saw a Mango shirt dress for only $15! Now that’s what I call a real bargain!
So, now that we agree that looking and feeling great don’t have to be expensive, we can start playing mix and match with things we already have or shop for affordable and fashionable stuff at bargain shops!
