Those who love fashion blogs should be familiar with Coquette. Not only because the contents are fashionably informative and fun but also because the lady behind the writing is very friendly and absolutely intelligent. Natalie is an author, designer, writer and a crafty mom. And I’m proud to reserve my interview spot for this talented lady. I give you Natalie from Coquette.

1. Tell us a brief story about Coquette. How did it happen?
I was at a career change and wanted one place where I could write about and show all the things I love from fashion to technology to crafts. My husband is French and he would say I was “coquette” each time I dressed up to go out. As I was thinking of names for my blog, the name Coquette popped up and it just fit the best. It’s been 5 years now and I haven’t looked back.

2. If you’re not a writer or designer, what would you be?
I think I would love to be a pastry chef. There’s so much artistry in it and you can eat the results of your work!

3. What’s your favorite fashion item?
My black Chanel 2.55 bag. It’s classic and can be dressed up or look great casual with jeans.

4. Name one country you want to travel in the near future. Why?
Italy. I’ve always wanted to go there as long as I can remember for it’s mix of history, beautiful landscapes and food. I want to visit Rome, Milan, and Venice.

5. What’s the best thing about being a fashion blogger?
I get to write about things I love! It’s also satisfying when I meet up with readers who tell me that I’ve helped them figure out a fashion dilemma.

6. The most precious or memorable advice given by your loved ones?
My father always told me to do what I love to do and the money will follow.

7. What’s your advice for new fashion bloggers?
My advice to new fashion bloggers is to enjoy the blogging process and make sure they have their own fashion voice. It takes time to build up a blog and it can be hard to get traffic in the beginning but as long as you have good content, people will soon find you.

PS: Thanks so much for the interview! : )
