Last night my girlfriend and I went to visit Word of Mouth. It’s my girls night out after so long. Word of Mouth (WOM) is one of the most happening spots in Bali right now. I often passed this place but I never exactly stopped and peeked. One of the reasons why we went because we know a girl who’s working there and she invited us to watch Les Nubians live. I have never heard of this band before but I was totally hypnotized by their music. This French band certainly knows how to shake the night. Beautiful melodies that makes you want to sway with fun, casual and stylish stage performance. It was really groovy.
So, we got there around 7.30pm (the band was supposed to start at 6.30pm but they didn’t start until 9pm.) That’s okay though because the club was playing very good music, a little bit of R&B, classic pop, all the good stuff. While waiting for the band to play, we were served with so many delicious tapas. I ordered a bottle of Tabali white wine. Excellent one, btw. Then our friend who happened to be a wine importer in Bali opened another bottle to share, red one this time. So, needless to say, I was quite tipsy.
But I certainly was not tipsy enough to notice that there were so many beautiful people around, and I was lucky to be able to converse with some of them. This is one of the reasons why I love Bali so much, you meet interesting people almost anywhere you go. Whether they’re just visiting the island or staying permanently, they surely know how to have a good time. Let’s see, I met this lady who has been in Bali for 20 years, and she happened to have her own boutique. I am so excited to visit her shop next week, I’ll write full report then. Then I also met this charming young woman who designs Japanese kimonos.
I called my hubby to pick me up a little bit after midnight and I came home quite drunk. This morning I woke up with a hangover but still managed to enjoy the day. Man.. I love this paradise island! : )
Here are some photos from a night to remember ; )
Sexy camisole top with worn out denim shorts and hot boots, definitely worth the shot!
Abstract chiffon dress with a touch of watercolor prints, who can resist that? This girl is definitely ready for Spring : )
And of course, you can always pull it off with sexy little black dress.
The sweetest girl I met last night. I love the black & white prints, very classy and casual. The mini skirt and mid heels totally complement each other. PS: She keeps on saying she’s not photogenic but I tell you, she’s GORGEOUS in person ; )
