Seminyak is an area in Bali where you can find lots of high fashion boutiques, mid to upper class restaurants and high end clubs or lounges. Today I went to Seminyak Square for their Sunday Market and it was a lot of fun. It’s like a mini shopping arcade where you can shop or chill with a nice cup of coffee at terraces and enjoy the green view.
It was sunny and nice today, so I decided to take a ride with hubby on his motorbike. But first stop, we needed to grab a bite so we stopped by one of the local stalls and had nice chicken with vegetable lunch. The Square was our next destination. I feel bad for him though because he had to walk around with me while I was busy browsing through some goodies. I was a good girl, I didn’t buy anything, I mean, I was tempted but I managed to control myself ; ) However, I picked up a little something for my belly dancing teacher. It was her birthday yesterday and I’ll see her on Tuesday. I’d love to take a picture of the gift but I don’t want to spoil the surprise in case she reads this post (I will add the picture after Tuesday ; )
Here at the Sunday market you can pretty much find anything related to fashion and culture. From beach hats to leather bags, signature Bali shirts and dresses, statues and jewelry. Lots and lots of jewelry. Good thing about this is that you can also test your bargaining skill. So if you happen to be good at this, then you’ll score lots of good stuff with good price. I’m not really good at this but I still get my stuff at a very reasonable price.
The thing is, I forgot to bring my camera so I had to rely on my dear iPhone. So please forgive me! : ( Here are some shots, they should give you ideas!
