I’m a huge fan of t-shirts and jeans. They are pretty much my daily uniform, unless when I’m feeling dressy, then my Summer dresses or girly skirts are out of the closet. Following through t-shirt trends over the years, I realized that t-shirts are no longer just for casual wear, they also work for semi-formal or social events! The tag also differs from US$10-ish up to US$1,000! Those who wonder what a US$1,000 shirt look like can indulge themselves through this post. Enjoy!

Another eye-candy comes from Lanvin and I decided to put this in number 2 because I totally adore those little ribbons. They’re not only playful but also make refreshing adornment. Made of silk with cotton lining, this has got to be one of the most expensive tees I’ve known so far. US$1,415.

1. Red Valentino Bow Embellished Shirt.

Fashions Night Out

Fashionistas, here’s one event that you cannot miss, especially if you consider yourself a fashion hardcore. Celebrating their 3rd anniversary, this is the right time to do your shopping. But of course shopping isn’t the only reason why you should come out, it’s the fun of meeting new people, dressing up nice and finding new style icons to be your next inspirations. You can find new locations, goodies to get straight from their website. Here are some tips on how to prepare yourself for a fun FNO!

1. Get Off Work Early (if possible ; )

Great Boss

Although FNO is held after hours, you sure need time to get ready! So if you think your boss is in a good mood, try to ask permission to leave work early so you can have enough time to doll up.

2. Dress Up Stylish and Comfortable

Girls Night Out

There’s nothing more fun and adventurous than go shopping with your girl buddies, so make sure you give them a holler and have a fashionable girls night out!

4. Control Yourself

Control Yourself

I know how we can get out of control when we’re in an event full of great fashion, one tip I can definitely give you is to just bring one credit card. You are allowed to splurge but you also need to control yourself ; ) Give yourself a preview by having virtual tour on the site and ask Barbie for more “what to get/what to do” advice! Another good thing is that you can also purchase the FNO’s merchandise and at the same time helping the NYC AIDS fund. More info here.

5. Have Fun

Fall's Most Wanted Sweaters

Dear Vie,

I love wearing sweaters, if I can wear them every day I would. Do you think you can help me finding some designer sweaters that are good for both work and home? I’m a big fan of your blog and hope you reply soon!

Love,
Samantha

I received this email today and I am so excited. Thanks Samantha for reaching out, I had fun compiling these sweaters specially for you. I hope they come to your approval and they would keep you warm, cozy and fashionable throughout the season : )

1. The first sweater I found is this charming Aspen from Paul & Joe Sister. Embellished with pastel-hues pompoms, this sweater goes well with pop-colored mini skirts or shorts. It is made of wool. US$390.

2. Next is this darling color block from Sonia Rykiel. As we all know, this designer fancies playing with unpredictable and feminine hues, I simply adore this cashmere sweater and I must say that it works very good with your black/beige pants. I would definitely wear it when I have to do some errands in town. US$500.

3. There’s no reason to feel gloomy on Fall, that’s why Alice + Olivia has specially created this sequined wool sweater to keep you warm and happy. You can match this with pretty much everything, from shorts to leather pants, the choice is all yours. Share the glitter! US$330.

4. For the conservative and more “hanging-in-the-house” kinda type, you will definitely love this Fisherman cable-knit sweater from J. Crew. Very simple and easy to cuddle! Made of 100% cotton, finish the look with your washed denim and have a relaxing home sweet home time. US$150.

5. For more playful and perky looks, here’s another choice from Sonia Rykiel. Now with this type of knits you can wear it outdoor when meeting friends or indoor for a girls’ night in. Super cute and would instantly define your bubbly personality. US$295.

6. Last but not least, I chose this particular sweater from McQ. This flexible look works well for both office or pleasure. For business, match it with your pencil skirt or black pants, for play, pair it with your favorite capris or shorts. Made of ivory wool, this is definitely one of those sweaters that you need to keep in closet for ready-use! US$325.
