In case I haven’t told you yet, Spring is my most favorite season of the year. Mainly because there are lots of gorgeous fashion presented on the runways, happy and colorful feminine prints with delicate lace and florals. Clearly, these are elements not to be missed, especially if you consider yourself a very girly person. I’ve been following the Spring Couture report from style and though it’s not easy to choose only 10 but I managed to select the best ones. So here’s to Spring, to Couture and to gorgeous dresses!

1. Valentino
For this Couture season, Valentino uses a lot of floral patterns with see-through effect. The results are absolutely formidable. These 2 dresses are my favorites! They would make any garden party much more enjoyable.

2. Christian Dior
Lots of tulle, lots of lace and definitely lots of romance. I am enjoying this showcase so much I had to ask my girlfriend to choose which of the dresses/gowns that deserve to be featured here and the verdict is these fabulous duo. The fantastic polka-dot extravagant tulle gown and a simple & sweet transparent cut.

3. Elie Saab.
Here’s another show that absolutely awed me. Elie Saab takes you to fantasy and glamor land with this fascinating showcase that is full of pale colors, sparkling embellishments, delicate lace and gorgeous sheer. I also had a hard time picking just two but here are my winners.

4. Giambattista Valli.
For this season Giambattisti Valli plays with feminine flares of soft prints, bows and stunning lace pattern. You’ll find excellent glamour in each walk and these couture dresses are perfect matches for your next cocktail invites!

5. Alexis Mabille.
Dare to go bold in colors? Well that’s the theme in Alexis Mabille’s fashion show and not that I mind, they’re pretty awesome! With oversized flowers on top of the head and exquisite lace-inspired dresses embracing the body, who can resist this charming presentation?

Christian Louboutin is the reason why I write this post. Well, actually I’ve been wanting to make a list of fashion books and I’m glad I waited because Louboutin recently released his very own book and it is absolutely beautiful! OK, I might be a little bias considering I haven’t even seen the book for real but since he’s my favorite designer, I trust his judgment. However, after reading so many positive reviews, I am convinced that this is a must-have! I can’t wait to be a proud owner of this amazing book. As for the rest of the books, they’re just as entertaining. I hope you enjoy my little library! : )

Spring 2012 Trend Alert: Peplums!

by Vie on October 27, 2011

I recently discovered that peplums are back in trend. For the longest time, I didn’t like this particular style because I feel that they flatter my hips too much, and since I’m no skinny girl and quite shy, the thought of flaunting my curves just don’t feel right ; ) However, as time goes by, I finally realized that they’re actually very classy and elegant. I saw the lovely proofs myself through these Spring 2012 collection and some of them are great for office days, too. Here are the looks that I like so much, courtesy from Style.
