WWD 100th Anniversary Auction

Remember that one episode of Gossip Girl when Chuck decided to give $5 million dollars for charity? I thought that was incredible. I just wish it was like that in real life. If charity is your thing and if you don’t mind spending thousands to help, then I have some good news to share.

Marking their 100th anniversary, Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) has created a very special auction, participated by fashion icons such as Marc Jacobs, Dior, Balenciaga, Oscar de la Renta, Prada, Chanel, Burberry and many more. Each of them donated one of the kind and magnificent work of art. From handbags, dresses, painting and even a Grand Wagooner. Now the reason why I’m writing this is that all bids are closed on November 18th, that means less than a week!

I have selected a few items that I totally crave for. So if you have thousands to spend and are really into custom-made fashion, then this auction might interest you. Good luck, ladies!!

Dior Beauty in Bloom

An amazing fashion collage specially created by John Galliano from Christian Dior. Inspired by the flower power of 2010, this collage is fantastic! The proceeds will go to Carla Bruni Sarkozy Foundation.

Oscar de la Renta Romantic Gown

You’d be the most amazing princess with this elegant, silvery and dreamy ball gown from Mr. Romantic, Oscar de la Renta. The proceeds will go to New Yorkers for Children.

Alberta Ferreti Dream Gown

Another dreamy halter dress, created specially by Alberta Ferreti. This gown represents all aspects of a lady, elegant, sophisticated, beautiful, sexy and strong. The proceeds will go to Conservation International.

Dolce & Gabbana Cocktail WWD Dress

Uniquely hand-crafted and made of wicker, what an awe just looking at this fine cocktail dress from Dolce & Gabbana. The proceeds will go to Fashion for Relief.
